Cottage. Late C15 or early C16, with late C17 alterations and C20 addition
to west. Substantial timber-frame with brick extension plastered. Half
hipped thatched roof, pantiled roof to extension. Red brick end stack to
west end of cottage and extension. One storey and attic, two unit plan of
open hall with floored end bay to east. C20 porched entrance to east, one
ground floor casement window and one eyebrow dormer window. Interior:
Substantial timber-frame with wide braces trenched and nailed across studs.
Collar rafter roof. Inserted hall floor and chimney with inglenook hearth
and niches.
