A large early C19 gault brick house with a low parapet and a plain stone band, three storeys. Five window range (arranged 2;1:2), the centre part of one window range breaks forward slightly. The first and second storeys have double hung sashes with glazing bars and the ground storey has large French windows, in plain reveals with stuccoed flat arches. Stone bands run between the storeys. A central doorway has a slightly projecting stucco tetrastyle Ionic portico with plain columns. Roof slate, hipped.
Egremont House and Nos 30 and 31 form a group.
