Cottage. Early C17, extended in C18. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with
handmade red plain tiles. 2 bays facing NW with central stack, extended to the
Left by one bay in C18, with external stack at the end. One storey with attics,.
3 C20 casements, and 2 more in slated lean-to dormers. C20 plain door with 3
small lights at top, and simple canopy. Primary straight bracing with heavy
studding. In left bay, chamfered axial beam with lamb's tongue stops. In
middle bay, chamfered axial beam with plain joists of -vertical section. Large
wood-burning hearth facing to left, repointed in C20, partly re-bricked. On the
upper floor at the left end of the original cottage is an unglazed window
complete with 3 diamond mullions, the tiebeam severed for a doorway.
