House, now 2 cottages. C16, altered in C18 and C19. Timber framed, plastered,
roofed with handmade red plain tiles. Single range facing SE with central
stack, internal stack at left end, external stack at right end. 2 storeys.
5-window range of late C19 casements. 2 late C19 half-glazed doors, each with a
gabled canopy on brackets. 6 octagonal shafts, reduced in height and linked at
the top. The ridge to the right of the stack is slightly higher than that to
the left. C18 red brick in Flemish bond on left return, lower storey only.
Jowled posts. Curved bracing trenched inside studding. Chamfered axial beam
with step stops, and plain joists of horizontal section. Chamfered and stopped
wallplates. RCHM (Pattiswick) 9.
