House. Early C19. Of red brick with hipped peg tile roofs. Of 2 storeys with
parapets and of 'L' plan form. 3 large rectangular brick stacks, tile front 2
symmetrically disposed on the front corners of the roof hips. Front elevation
has the centre breaking slightly forward with double hung sashes without glazing
bars under segmental brick heads and with external shutters in each of the 3
bays. The outer bays of the ground floor have semi-circular headed similar
windows within recessed semi-circular headed openings and the window heads are
filled with louvre shutters. A projecting central flat roofed porch of the
mid C19 has brick pilasters and cornice of elaborately moulded brick. The long
west elevation has similar double hung sash windows and a central mid C19
canted 2 storey bay window of double hung sash windows set in brickwork.
Towards the southern end is a similar but single storey bay window. Apparently
a simple rectangular block with later extensions at rear. Internally, typical
plaster cornice and fire surrounds and complete internal window shutters
including vertical roller shutters in bay window.
