The barn is in Lamarsh parish, the farmhouse in the parish of Bures Hamlet.
Barn. C16, converted to a house. Timber framed, weatherboarded, roofed with
slate, with red clay pierced ridge tiles. 6 bays aligned N-S with midstrey to
E, 2 bays from S end. C20 porch in NE angle. 2 storeys. E elevation, 5-window
range of C20 casements, all diamond leaded except one. The original great
doorway in the midstrey has been blocked with vertical planking, leaving 2
arched braces exposed at the top. C20 6-panel door in C20 porch with hipped
roof. Collar truss roof with straight bracing, the tiebeams of the porch bay
carried out to form the wallplates of the midstrey.
