Maltings, under conversion to housing at time of survey, April 1984. Dated
1851. Red brick with dressings of gault brick, slate roofs. H-plan, with S
crosswing facing road, incorporating square oast house at S end of middle range.
Crosswings of 2 storeys, middle range of 3 storeys, the roofs aligned.
Crosswings divided into 3 bays by pilasters with dressings of gault brick,
middle range similarly divided into 11 bays. Similar pilasters at corners.
When completed the road elevation will have 6-window range of C20 casements, 2
C20 doors, low-pitched roof with 2 skylights. Date-stone on upper floor. The
oast house has a steep pyramidal roof with flat top.
