House. C17, extended in C18. Timber framed, partly plastered, partly roofed
with handmade red clay tiles, but mainly unclad at time of survey, May 1985. 2
bays facing SW, with C18/C19 internal stack at left end, and one-bay extension
to rear, forming a T-plan, of 2 storeys. 2-bay extension to right, with
internal stack at left end, of one storey with attics, C18. The right extension
has one C20 casement, and one more in a lean-to dormer. Otherwise, no windows
or doors at time of survey. The right extension has a gambrel roof. The main
range and rear extension have some jowled posts, some heavy studding with
primary straight bracing, one arched brace to the central tiebeam, plain joists
of vertical section. Clasped purlin roof to main range (rebuilt), butt-purlin
roof to rear extension. The right extension has primary straight bracing, a
chamfered transverse beam with runout stops, plain joists of vertical section in
the right bay, no floor in the left bay.
