Lodge. Late C19. Red brick on ground floor, rendered first
floor with false timberwork. Steeply pitched gabled roof with
alternate bands of red and blue tiles, the red ones in
fishscale pattern. T-plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. 2 chimneys set diagonally with large
offset and corbelled heads, with clay pots. First floor
overhangs slightly, forming projecting tile hood with coved
soffit over ground floor. Brick plinth, exposed rafter ends.
Casement windows and mullioned and transomed windows.
Entrance (west) front: one bay gable projects on left hand
with 3-light window on first floor; 3-light oriel window
beneath. A half-round 2 storey feature in angle contains a
narrow single-light first-floor window with pointed head.
Below this is planked door with pointed head in a brick
pointed arched surround. To the right of this is a 2-light
window with pointed brick arched head. Similar one-bay gable
on return facing road.
