Cottage. Late C16 altered C17; altered and extended C20. Part timber framed with
brick infill, part brick, part painted weatherboarding. Tiled gabled roof. 2 framed
bays with gabled extensions on right and at rear. 2 storeys. 3 chimneys, one on
left on ridge, one on right at rear of roof slope, one on right gable of ridge of
extension. South front: 2 and 3-light leaded casement windows, irregularly spaced.
Timber frame exposed in left hand section, underbuilt in brick. Right hand
section set back, weatherboarded on first floor, brick under. Planked entrance door
with lion head knocker; gabled porch. Interior: some frame exposed internally; inglenook
fireplace. Roof framing replaced C20. Woodcot cottage adjoining on the west is of no
special interest.
