26.1.67 Stables North of Farley Hall

Stables to Farley Hall, now staff accommodation. C18, extended late C19,
altered C20. Brick with hipped old tile roof. 2 storeys. Sash windows
with glazing bars and C20 casements. Centre part has 3 tall arched
openings, the top part with Diocletian windows; the 2 on the right hand
have garage doors, all under a pediment; clock in tympanum and small,
circular bell turret above, with Doric columns, entablature and ogee lead
dome, with ball finial. 2 bays of sashes flank centre part, with 2 bay
extensions on outer sides with flat roofs and cornice carried round. The
left hand extension has 2, C20 casements at ground floor level.
