House and shop. Early C19, probably with earlier origins, with later
shopfront to left and additions and alterations to right. Coursed roughly-
squared limestone with brick dressings. 2 storeys, 4 first floor windows.
Brick quoins to first floor right. No 16: shopfront has pilasters flanking
part-glazed door and overlight with shop window to left under fascia,
cornice and hood. No 14: doorcase with tapered pilasters supporting plain
entablature and hood has panelled door in panelled reveal flanked by single
16-pane flush sashes with stucco cambered arches and sills. C20 2-light
casement to right. Three first floor 16-pane sashes to No 14, one sliding
sash to No 16 under segmental brick arch. Stone-coped gables with shaped
kneelers. End stack and 2 axial stacks. Included for group value.
