House. Front of late C17 origins with C18 and C19 alterations and additions
to rear. Squared limestone with brick dressings and stacks. Pantile roof.
L-shaped on plan: central entrance hall front with rear kitchen wing and
outshut in angle. 2 storeys, 3 bays; symmetrical. Late C19 - early C20
projecting enclosed flat-roofed porch with 2-leaf panelled outer door,
glazed sides and inner door, flanked by contemporary flat-roofed canted bay
sash windows. C19 first floor sashes in flush wood surrounds with stucco
flat arches and projecting sills: narrower window over entrance. Stepped
brick eaves. Stone-coped brick gables. End stacks. Interior: staircase
with wreathed handrail and plain balusters; arched alcove with architrave,
round-headed alcoves beside fireplace and moulded cornice in ground floor
left room.
