At south-east corner of Church of St. John the Baptist. 5 chest tombs. C18th
and early C19th. Bath stone ashlar and sandstone; most with panelled sides and
moulded cornice. (1) Corner balusters and inscribed panels. (2) 1789. Davis.
Fluted and decorated corner pilasters. (3) 1800. Fisher. Panels with pilaster
strips. (4) 1813. Cottle. Plain, large panels. (5) Large inscribed panels.
The group contributes largely to the setting of the church.
