House, late C18. Stock bricks, roofed with slate and tiles.Double pile plan.
2 chimney stacks in each side wall. 2 storeys with attics. bll elevation,
central door with 6 fielded panels, doorcase of 2 Doric columns with open
pediment, fanlight with cast iron radiating tracery and garlands. 4 double-hung
sash windows of 12 lights,, 5 similar windows on first floor. Cornice and
parapet. Mansard roof with 3 flat-roofed dormers of 6 lights. The front lower
pitch of the roof is clad with old grey slates probably of Cornish origin, the
tipper front pitch of blue Welsh slates, the rear roof with handmade red clay
tiles, stone copings on the gables. Simple bell-turret on middle dormer, C19.
The whole formed a symmetrical elevation, with later single-storey extension
to SW with hipped roof of blue slate.
