Pair of re-used arches in
garden 20 metres south-west
of Lomberdale Hall

Pair of re-used arches at entrance to viewing platform in Lomberdale Hall garden.
Early English Stone. Each arch is set on low stone plinths and stands approximately
10 ft high, each is narrow with a tall point and deeply moulded. Both are possibly
from Bakewell Church and were placed in the garden by Thomas Bateman the archaeologist
who designed, and lived, at Lomberdale Hall. Included for group value only.
