Lomberdale Hall Cottage

GV II

Cottage and stables, now cottage. 1851 with later alterations. Random
limestone rubble with rock-faced gritstone dressings and quoins. Slate roof
with single and twin octagonal stone ridge stacks. Two storeys, double pile
plan, two bays. East elevation has rock-faced quoined doorcase with C20 glazed
stable door, to north glazing bar sash in rock-faced surround and to south a
C20 window in similar surround. Beyond to south, steps up to rock-faced doorcase
with C20 glazed door. Above to north C20 casement in rock-faced surround and to
south glazing bar sash in similar surround with small hayloft opening beyond.
Doorcase to north elevation has lintel inscribed '1851'. Included for group
value only.
