Troway Hall Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Late C17. Coursed rubble coal measures sandstone
with quoins, brick ridge stack, stone slates and Welsh slates.
Double pile plan. South-west elevation; two storey, double
gabled front, three bays, with off-centre doorway, with boldly
quoined surround, and massive lintel with the quoin motif being
carried on in relief on the lintel, together with a central
projection suggesting a protruding keyblock. Flanking the
doorway are 4-light chamfer mullioned windows, below a
continuous dripmould which steps up as a hoodmould above the
doorway. Three 3-light chamfer mullioned windows beneath a
continuous dripmould. Interior much altered, but with one
massive segmentally-arched hearth to south-east range.
