the water-powered scythe and sickle works which formerly
occupied the adjacent site. Late C18. Coursed squared coal
measures sandstone with ashlar dressings, intermediate and end
ridge brick stacks and a Welsh slated roof. Two storeys, three
bays, formerly with three doorways with massive stone surrounds
and lintels, now with one altered to form a double doorway. Two
square first floor openings in flush surrounds, one a 2-light
mullioned window, and a smaller rectangular light. A second
pair of double doors to the centre of the elevation. The rear
elevation has a 2 and 3-light flush mullioned window, with some
blocked lights. South gable with a large first floor loading
