Farmhouse.Probably C17 origins refenestrated and some rebuilding in C19.
Rubblestone with some cob. Slate roofs with gable ends. Slate-hanging to right
gable end. 2 rubble axial stacks with weatherings and drips. 3-cell through-
passage plan but unusual arrangement of stacks with kitchen probably originally
parlour heated by stack backing onto through-passage to left and hall to right
formerly heated by rear lateral stack, now demolished and now heated by inserted
stack situated at inner end of hall. Dairy at lower end with right-angled gabled
projection to front forming overall L-shape. Additional dairy mostly cob with lower
roof level added at left end. The original through-passage front doorway has been
blocked and a window inserted, the entry moved to left to form baffle entry. 2
storeys 3 window range of C19 two-light casement with L-hinges 6-panes per light.
Ground floor casement window with 18-panes each light to left of porch with gabled
slated roof and slightly cambered brick arch. 2-light casement inserted in through-
passage doorway to right also with brick arch. 2-light casement under timber lintel
to its right has 3-panes and marginal glazing bars to each light. Dairy at lower
end has small horizontal sliding sashes to ground floor left side and front gable
end. Dairy extension at left end has window opening with timber lintel to front and
blocked loft door to rear. Slated outshuts to rear left side and rear through-
passage plank door with slated canopy. C19 roof trusses. Chamfered and stopped
beam in room to left of through-passage.
