Farmhouse, now unoccupied (January 1985). C17. Heightened at upper end and
refenestrated in C19, undergoing further remodelling at time of survey. Rubble
stone with some cob. Asbestos slate roof, hipped at lower end. Rubble stack at
lower end and tall lateral front hall stack, both with drips, weatherings and
tapered caps. Tall brick stack at right end. 3-cell through-passage plan with
extended lower end. 2-storeys. 5-window range of 3 C19 two-light casements to
lower end, horned sash and 2-light casement at upper end. Lean-to corrugated iron
roof to right-angled projection at lower front end. Lean-to asbestos slate roof to
double porch with plank door to left and weathered C17 through-passage doorframe to
right with chamfered cranked head. C20 plank door. Bread oven and hall stack to
right with continuation of asbestos slate roof to pushed out hall window with
inserted C20 casement. Outshuts to rear with part slate part corrugated asbestos
roof. Roof space not inspected.
