House originally farmhouse. Circa late C16 or early C17 possibly with late medieval
origins. Mostly rendered, cob and stone rubble walls. Gable ended asbestos slate
roof. Projecting rubble stack at left gable end with brick shaft, axial brick
stack, and projecting stone stack at right gable end with dripmoulds and brick
shaft.
Plan: 3-room and through passage plan lower end to the left. C19 rear outshut and
C20 addition at right-hand end.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3-window front of late C20 2-light small-paned
casements. C20 glazed doors to left and right of centre. 1 storey C20 addition at
right-hand end.
Interior: heavy chamfered ceiling beams. Open fireplace in right-hand room with
timber lintel. Plank and muntin screen between right-hand and central room.
Jointed crucks are recorded in this house but due to lack of access their exact form
or date could not be ascertained.
