Two houses which were originally one. Early to mid C19. Rendered stone walls.
Gable ended slate roof. Brick stack at each gable end of front range.
Plan: Originally one house consisting of single depth 2 room front range, equal-sized
with central hall. Behind the left-hand end was a service wing. This has been
converted into a separate cottage.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window front of original 12-pane sashes on first
floor, 16-panes below. At the centre is original flat doorhood with moulded cornice
which has been filled-in below with glazed panels in C20 to create a porch. Simple
eaves cornice resting on projecting joist ends. Wing behind left-hand end is now the
Cottage and has 3 windows. 2 are C19 partly leaded 2-light casements one to the
right on the first floor and one below which is transomed. Late C19 or early C20 4-
pane sash to right on the ground floor and 2-light C20 casement to left on first
floor. Below it is a C20 panelled and glazed door.
Interior: not inspected although original joinery may survive such as staircase,
cupboards and panelled doors.
