House. Mid C18 (marked as Mr. Mayberry's house on 1758 Bayfordbury
estate map in HRO), parallel rear range late C18, rear range heightened
early C19, kitchen wing early Victorian, refurbished mid/late C20. Red
brick front range, red with blue brick parallel rear range heightened in
grey brick. Hipped steep old red tile roofs. A tall 2-storeys and attics
house, 5 windows wide, set back a little, facing E. New 2-storeys garage
block and link, to N, not of special interest. Symmetrical E front with
high stucco plinth, plat-band, and wood bedmould below shaped ends of
rafters extending at eaves. 2 hipped dormers on roofslope have moulded
cornice and window surround to 2-lights casements. Recessed sash windows
with segmental arches and segmental topped upper sashes on each floor.
Pretty hipped trellis porch to 6-panels moulded door (top 2 glazed). 2
stacks with groups of 4 C19 octagonal shafts. Low red brick forecourt
wall with piers and rendered coping. Interior has mid C18 moulded
cornice, doorcase and fireplace on ground floor of front range, cut
string stair with turned balusters, moulded handrail, and column newels.
On 1st floor of front range panelled dado and ovolo moulding to
panelling. Original cupboards. Kitchen wing and large bay window added
in one phase of work with modillioned cornice at eaves with brick
