Lock No. 70 on the Grand Union Canal. Circa 1797 as a lock on the Grand
Junction Canal (became Grand Union Canal by amalgamation 1919). Brick
walls. Timber gates. Timber and iron bollards, probably cast 1896 by
London and Lancashire Engineering Co. Lock 88ft by 16ft to accommodate
narrow boats in pairs. Included for group value. See Home Park Lock
House, STATION ROAD. The western half of the lock is listed in King's
Langley civil parish in Dacorum Borough.
