Mawfield Farmhouse

Barn. Probably C18. Sandstone rubble plinth, timber-frame, woven oak
laths, weatherboards and corrugated iron roofs. L-plan with two arms of
four bays, one extending westwards and the other northwards. North elevation
has weatherboards and entry to threshing floor in third bay from the right.
Frame is three panels high from cill to wall-plate. Interior has triple
angle struts and some panels with oak laths behind weatherboards. Included
for group value. (RCHM, Vol I, p 18).
