LINTON CP FORDING LANE
SO 62 NE

3/45 Fording Farmhouse
and outbuilding
adjoining to north-east

GV II

House and outbuilding. Circa 1700. Red sandstone rubble with roofs of
stone slate and corrugated iron. Two storeys. Three bays. Windows are
casements with segmental brick heads. Straight joints suggest that the
sills have been raised. The middle window on the first floor is blocked
and has a head and sill lower than the adjoining windows. The door is
at the right, in a lower range which includes an outbuilding said to con-
tain a cider mill. At the right are external stone steps to a first floor
doorway. Chimneys at left, to right of doorway, and on rear wall. The
latter has a large external stack.
