Cottage. Probably C18, modernised circa 1980. Plastered cob on local stone rubble
footings; stone rubble stacks topped with C20 brick; thatch roof.
Plan: 2-room plan cottage facing south-west. Each room has a gable-end stack. The
larger room is at the right end. 2 storeys with C20 lean-to outshot on the left end
(now in domestic use) and C20 garage to right.
Exterior: cottage has a symmetrical 2-window front of casements with rectangular
leaded pane effect. Central doorway contains a C20 door behind a contemporary
thatch-roofed porch. Roof is gable-ended.
Interior: was not avaiable for inspection at the time of this survey.
Appletree Cottage forms a group with nearby Yeomans Cottage (q.v).
