Chest tomb. Dated 1792 in memory of Thomas and Harriet Venn. Limestone ashlar.
Chest tomb is rectangular in plan. Its flat lid has moulded edges and the chest
sits on a hollow chamfered plinth. The southern long sides contains a simple
rectangular panel which is inscribed in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering
and records the deaths of Thomas and Harriet Venn (1781 and 1782 respectively). The
ends are also inscribed and record the deaths of other members of the Venn family.
