Detached house, set gable to the road. Dated 1747. Rubble,
thatch roof. 2-room central-entry plan.
The main front, facing W is 2 storeys, 2 windows; 2- and
3-light small-pane wood casements with central part-glazed
door under a small gable hood. Above the door a panel
inscribed I/RM/1747/May 29. The gable to the road is plain,
with a door to the right, and there are small brick gable
stacks. The rear has a 2-light casement at each level, far
left. Attached to the rear, parallel with the road, is a
single-storey gabled range, a former workshop, with corrugated
roof and rubble walls with a small single and a larger 6-pane
fixed light , to the left of a wide pair of doors under a deep
boarded lintel.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
One of a compact group of early houses in this part of the
village.
