SU 62 SE EAST MEON OXENBOURNE

2/19 Oxenbourne House

GV II

House. C17, early C19 with extensions of c1900 in Arts and Crafts style. Walls
of malmstone with brick dressings (quoins, chamfered openings, plinth band above
flint base), coursed flint with brick quoins, cambered arches and bands, flint
and stone rubble with brick quoins, and brickwork. Tile roof, some half-hips.
Two storeys and attic, irregular (and altered) fenestration. Casements. Gabled
stone Tudor-style porch. The extensive last phase of building includes a shafted
stack, a large jettied gable with exposed framing and a glazed cupola with ogee
leaded cap.
