1/4 Truncheaunts

GV II

House. Late C18, with wings of the late C19 and late C20. Red brick walls in
header bond, with cambered rubbed arches to the openings. Ripped roof. Symmetrical
front (north) of 2 storeys, 3 windows. Sashes in exposed frames. Tall thin
doorcase, with moulded canopy, thin pilasters, fanlight with lead radiating
decoration, and 6-panelled door. The C19 east side wing is a lower 2 storeys,
with brick upper walls above malmstone lower walls,casements, and boarded door.
The C20 west wing is 2 storeys, 2 windows, with tile-hung upper walls above
brickwork, casements and French windows. The rear elevation of the main block
is tile-hung, and there is a central 2-storeyed projection, with a boarded gable
and walls of rat-trap bond.
