26.4.57 Beaurepaire House
II
Early C19, and modern. Within a rectangular medieval moat there remains a substantial
'Tudor' style building, being part of a once larger house, mostly destroyed by fire.
East front of 3 storeys, 5 windows, with a modern tower on the west side. Slate roof.
Red brick walling with blue diaper patterns and stone dressings (coping to crenellated
parapet, weathered string at eaves level, hood-moulds). Metal casements. The modern
tower repeats the style. There are lower buildings attached at the rear, screened by
an enclosing wall with crenellated top.
