Pair of almshouses in group of ten. 1913 by Sidney Barnsley, under the Will of
Edwin Gyde. Dressed squared limestone, concrete tile roof. Symmetrical two-
gabled front and back, l½ storeys, 2 over 3-light chamfered-mullion casements to
each house, at ground floor under continuous stopped drip. left and right
original plank doors in slightly cambered deep chamfered surrounds, at each
gable end a further door in late C20 gabled porches with small flanking original
lights, and under a 2-light casement; to back, road side, various small single
lights. Central ridge stack and rear gable stacks. One of five pairs in
slightly varied designs, in the best Cotswold tradition. (Hyett, F A, Glimpses
