Detached house. C17 and C19. Coursed squared and dressed
limestone with large dressed stone quoins, stone slate roof, ashlar
stacks. 'T'-shaped plan to main body with C19 extension to gable
end facing churchyard. C17 range, 2 storeys. Two blocked 3-light
stone-mullioned casements to first floor either side of two 3-light
wood casements with segmental-headed surrounds. Three 2-light
casements with segmental-headed surrounds to ground floor. C19
plank door far left. C19 stable-type door to gable end facing road
with 3-pane light over, all within same segmental-headed surround.
Wing at right-angles to main body (facing road) lit by C20 three-
light casement with timber lintel. Double plank garage doors
within segmental-headed surround to ground floor. C19 extension
with lower roof level at gable end. Half dormer with C20 three-
light casement to first floor. Stable-type door to ground floor
with two small 4-pane lights either side, single segmental-head
over door and flanking windows. Stepped coping and gable end
stacks.
Interior of range at right angles to road; 5 bays with 4 upper
cruck trusses rising up to yolk, braced 'V' shaped collar. Double
purlins retaining some curved windbracing. An unusual roof form
with unusual details for a building of probably C17 date.
