GV II
Former farmhouse, now private house. Late C17, altered in C19 and
C20. Rubble stone with Cotswold stone-slate roof with coped
verges, 3 various stacks. Long range with small square rear
extension. 2 storeys and attic. Front has 2 gables and appears
to have been extended to the left. 4 windows, 2/3/2/3-light ovolo
moulded stone mullions under continuous dripmould, some with
ancient leaded glass remaining. Gables each have one 2-light
stone mullion window with square hoodmould. Ground floor has 3-
light casement windows flanking an added 2-bay porch, window to
left being larger and of C19. Porch has 3 circular columns,
attached at each side, hipped roof and is glazed in, and shelters
C20 door on left and 2-light window on right. Ground floor also
has continuous dripmould, passing behind porch. Adjoins Elmestree
(q.v.), with linking wing of 1884. Formerly known as Elmestree Farmhouse.
