Pair of cottages, probably originally one house. Late C17,
restored in C19. Rubble stone, partially coursed, stone slate
roof with 3 stone stacks. Double range, single storey and attic.
Three gables to front, slightly larger on right-hand side, but
originally 2 to right only, bay to left havinq been added in
coursed stone slightly later with additional stack. Each gable
has window with square hoodmould, 2-light stone mullion to left and
3-light metal casement to centre and right. Ground floor has 2-
light stone mullion with square hoodmould to left, 3-light in
centre, and two 2-light to right. Original early central doorway
with flush stone lintel and quoins now blocked with 2-light metal
casement. Entrances to both cottages are on returns. Two square
gatepiers about 12m apart in dressed stone with moulded cornice and
large stone ball finial on 2-step base about 1.9m total height,
with C19 wrought iron railing between with twisted square section
uprights and trefoil heads, and 2 horizontal square section rails.
