Detached house with adjoining wing reputed to be former toll house,
converted to a gallery. Mid C18. Coursed rubble stone with
several deep dressed courses and alternating flush quoins, stone
slate roof, brick end stack to left. Main single range of 2
storeys with lower rear extensions and front wing of single storey
and attic with half-hipped roof and adjoining lean-to. Main range
has 9-pane light to left on each floor, with timber lintels.
Small wing to front has C20 twin casement in quoin surround at
attic level and C20 glazed door and shop front of 3 arched lights
below. Similar 2-light to left in lean-to. Curved rubble wall
continuing line of house round to gallery front about lm high with
flat coping and 2 square dressed stone gatepiers slightly higher
with plain frieze and shallow pyramidal coping.
