Large farmhouse. Core probably of late C16, enlarged to south in
C17 and with linking wing in early C18, with some C20 additions.
Rubble stone with partial roughcast south front and partial coursed
stone with quoins in linking wing. Stone slate roof, stone stacks
with moulded cornices to ends and rear ridge. Larqe L-shaped block
with oldest section of single storey and attic in north east
corner, range of C17 of 2 storeys and attic across south front with
rear cross gable (possibly originally a stair tower), and linking
wing between of 2 storeys. Main front to south has 2 gables with
2, 3 and 4-light stone mullions with square hoodmould to each,
ground floor 4-lights being linked by continuous square hoodmould
over central C20 glazed door with 2-light stone mullion above on
first floor. East and west ends both have all stone framed windows
blocked. C18 wing behind has 4-panel door, 2 fielded and 2 flush,
with C20 stone porch, and one 16-pane sash in flush stone surround
to left on first and ground floors. North-east corner wing has 2
small hipped dormers. Ground floor has 3-light stone mullion with
square hoodmould to right, original blocked doorway in centre with
timber lintel and C20 window with timber lintel to left.
