Two cottages semi-detached (Nos 28 and 29 in one occupation). C17
and mid C18. Coursed squared and dressed limestone, stone slate
roof, stone stacks. Rectangular plan with single bay, mid C18
extension in more finely dressed stone at left gable end. Full
height cross-gable with stack, off-centre left. Rectangular
plan. 1½ storeys. Roadside front; 7-windowed, all one or 2-light
double-chamfered stone-mullioned windows. Two 2-light slate hung
half dormers with wooden casement. Small single light just below
eaves, left C19-C20 plank door within flat-chamfered 'Tudor'-arched
surround with stopped hood continued over door and windows either
side. Possible projecting bread oven at right gable end. C19
plank door with segmental-headed stone lintel to No 27, two light
hollow-chamfered stone-mullioned window left with stopped hood.
Garden front; 4 Cotswold dormers lit by 2-light double-chamfered
stone-mullioned windows. Two-light double-chamfered stone-
mullioned windows with stopped hoods to ground floor. Blocked
doorway with timber lintel towards right gable end. Plank door
within flat-chamfered segmental-headed surround within corrugated-
iron porch to No 27 hood over continued over flanking stone-
mullioned windows. Gable end, lateral and lateral gable stack.
Moulded capping to left gable end stack. Interior not inspected.
