Pair of semi-detached cottages. Tudor Cottage (right) dated 1757
on sundial/datestone below left-hand dormer. Cottage and new
access to Tudor Cottage added late C18 and extended mid-late C19.
Tudor Cottage; coursed squared and dressed limestone, stone stack,
adjoining cottage, limestone rubble, stone slate roofs to both
parts. Rectangular plan to Tudor Cottage, successive C18 and C19
extensions at left gable end. C20 part-glazed lean-to porch at
left gable end, not of special interest. Tudor Cottage; 1½
storeys, two Cotswold dormers, lit by one 2-light and one 3-light
double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements, both with stopped
hoods. Sundial/datestone below left-hand dormer with ogee curved
top with quatrefoil decoration and dropped pendant below. Three-
light stone-mullioned casements to ground floor. Two-storey late
C18 two-bay extension left incorporating C19 plank door with
fillets, within basket-headed surround with projecting stone canopy
over (door forms entrance to Tudor Cottage, formerly entered via
gable end). Double-chamfered 2-light stone-mullioned casement left
of door, C19 two-light stone-mullioned casement to first floor.
C19, 1½ storey single bay extension left, projecting forwards
slightly from facade of Tudor Cottage. Two-light stone-mullioned
casement in forward facing wall. Access via plank door within
part-glazed C20 porch. Axial stack to main body of Tudor Cottage,
gable end stack to successive extensions. Interior not inspected.
