Two conjoined barns. C17 or early C18, extended late C18 or early C19.
Timber frame on English bond brick base, weatherboarded. Tiled roofs.
Originally 5 bays with a central gabled midstrey to yard. 4 bays added
towards house with larger gabled midstrey to yard on bay near earlier
barn. Slate roofed lean-tos flank early midstrey. C20 lean-tos to left
of later midstrey. Gable end towards house has door with upper 2 light
casement. To road 2 double doors opposite midstreys, vertical lights
inserted. Interior: arched braces from jowled posts to tie beams. Angled
struts, some curved, clasp purlins. Later straight posts. Bury Farm
House is not listable.
