Trull House
GV II
Stable and carriage block. Late C19. Rubble stone coursed on
south east side with quoins. Slate roof. Tall gabled block with
single storey extension to south west. String course below eaves
level. Main block has a large relieving arch and 2 carriage
entrances below. Above the arch a 2-light ogee-headed stone-
mullion window with large lintel and square hoodmould. In the gable
above, a clock and bell under a hipped canopy of Cotswold stone
slates and moulded stone eaves supported on shaped stone brackets.
Gable has ball finial on base and weathercock above. North west
end has small gable stack. South west side has central gabled
porch leading on to roof on single storey extension, with 2
flanking wooden casements with stone lintels and quoins. Steps up
to this level to left of extension which has fine panelled and
half-glazed doors on left in Perpendicular style, 2 stable doors
and 2 small cambered twin casements with very large stone lintels
and sills with offsets. Original access to upper level via flight
of 14 stone steps on north east side, which has 5 twin casements
with large stone lintels.
