House. Facade at right angles to road. Datestone of 1905 with
'H' initial, right gable end. By Sir Guy Dawber for the Earl of
Harrowby. Ashlar built in courses of differing heights. Square
panelled timber framed left gable. Limestone slate roof.
Projecting rectangular ashlar stack with moulded top course,
projecting from right wall. Single ashlar stack from ridge.
towards centre. 3 room plan. Twin gabled front with recess
under left gable. Gable left, lower than gable right. 2-windowed:
original metal casements with leaded lights, also stone-mullioned
windows stopped hoods. Small round headed window with carved
spandrels right of C20 plank door in depressed arched surround.
Hood with diamond shaped stops over both. Limited interior
inspection of ground floor. Retains original doors with
decorative scratch plates.
