Cottage. C17. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone
dressings. Thatched roof with stone coped gables. One stone
gable stack. Two room plan, single storey and attic. Garden
elevation of two bays. To the left a doorway under massive
stone lintel. Plank door. To the right are two 2-light
casement windows set in a plain chamfered and a recessed and
chamfered surround. Two windows above set in slight eyebrow
dormers. A 2-light casement in chamfered surround and a single
light with recessed and chamfered surround. The west gable end
has a similar single light window. Low range to west, formerly
outbuildings, not of special interest. The north elevation has
one 2-light casement window. The interior has an inglenook
fireplace with roughly chamfered arched bressumer and stone
hearth with massive lintel. Winder staircase. Two bay single
purlin roof with one raised cruck truss, crossing at the top to
support the ridge piece.
