House. Possibly C18 and early C19. Coursed squared limestone
with sandstone dressings. Stone slate roofs with ashlar gable
stacks. L-plan with two storey front range and pair of three
storey service wings to rear, where the land falls away. Four
bay west elevation has a large off-centre flat-roofed porch,
with pilasters, cornice and blocking course. Bracketed hood
over the doorway with half glazed door. To the left a 3-light
window with segmental pointed arch lights under a flat head, and
with cut away spandrels. To the right a small canted bay window
with segmental pointed arch lights. To the right again, a
2-light window similar to the left hand one. The first floor
has three 2-light chamfered mullion windows. The south gable
end has two single light windows to each floor, all with
triangular headed lights. Rear elevation of four storeys with
mostly single light windows with recessed and chamfered
surrounds.
