Original use unknown, possibly courthouse, now garden shed. C15 or C16 with
later alterations. Mainly rubble with some brick repairs, stone dressings,
replacement pantile roof. Single storey, 4 bays. Fragment of chamfered
plinth of tooled stone to left. Board door in hollow moulded basket arch on
chamfered jambs to bay 3, with square-headed window high up to left and
basket-arched window in double chamfered surround to right. South gable
end: fragmentary chamfered plinth. Double leaf board door beneath brick
basket arch flanked by square-headed windows in chamfered surrounds with
chamfered horizontal band above. North gable end: 2 pairs of pointed
cinque-cusped windows in chamfered surrounds. Substantial stepped buttress
to south-west. Ashlar to lower part of west wall. Neave D, Howden
