C17 refronted in C18 in brick, now colourwashed. Tiled roof. High parapet with
heavy brick cornice. 3 storeys. 4 windows. Sashes with glazing bars, projecting
cills, and keyblocks in segmental brick arches, sashes on top floor have thick
glazing bars, small balcony with low iron railings at 1st floor. Rainwater pipe
with ornamental head and bands, possibly reused from earlier building. Projecting
square shop window with Victorian cornice andfascia over, round-headed doorway
on right with keyblock and impost. Brick wing at rear possibly late C17. Interior
of front building has early C18 staircase with turned balusters. RCHM (16).

Market House with all the listed buildings on the east side of High Street form
a good group.
