C16 with C17 and C18 alterations and additions. Stuccoed front. Parapet. Top
floor projects. 3 storeys. 2 windows wide, 1st and 2nd floors with sashes with
glazing bars. Large Victorian shop front with moulded cornice and fascia. Brick
faced at rear. Brick wing at rear has some late C17 mullion/transom windows, and
an C18 brick wing beyond. Interior: late C17 staircases with moulded strings,
turned balusters and pendants to the newels. Some late C16 panelling. RCHM (15).
Market House with all the listed buildings on the east side of High Street form
a good group.
