House. C17 with mid-C19 and late C20 alterations and additions. Coursed
limestone rubble with ashlar dressings; slate roof has gable-end parapets
with kneelers, a gabled finial at the east end, a pair of square ashlar
ridge stacks with moulded cappings at the west end; a brick stack to rear
of ridge. One-and-a-half storeys with half-dormers and cellar. Three bays;
stone chamfered mullioned windows with hoodmoulds and returns in outer bays,
of four lights with central king mullion on ground floor and of three lights
in the half-dormers. There is also a small 2-light mullioned window in the
central bay beneath the eaves. The gabled half-dormers have parapets with
kneelers, gabled finials and small rectangular lights in the apex. Central
entrance has a chamfered four-centred archway, moulded architrave, hoodmould
with returns, and a C20 door; there is a small C20 rectangular light to the
right of the door. East end has a first floor 3-light window and a 2-light
attic window, both with chamfered mullions and hoodmoulds. There is a C20
single-storey kitchen extension at the west end with a 3-light casement and
glazed door in its south elevation. Also C20 lean-to addition at east end.
Interior: ogee stop-chamfered main ceiling beams. Large fireplace in west bay.
